The Harmonica Jazz Foundation (HJF) was founded in 2006 as a music and creative arts development foundation.

Carmen Lundy

Carmen is an American Jazz singer, composer, songwriter, actress and painter. She has been performing for three decades, with a focus on original material. She has often been compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald. The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, as well as numerous international publications have critically acclaimed Carmen Lundy's work as a vocalist and composer. She is celebrated throughout the world for her vocal artistry and is highly regarded for her jazz innovation.

Lenora , vocal musician, composer, lyricist, arranger, teaching artist, former U.S. Jazz Ambassador (1998-99) and MacDowell Colony Composer Fellow is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She was the first African-American woman to graduate from Berklee College of Music with a B.M. in Film Music Scoring/Voice, a degree she earned in just three years. Helm is presently completing Graduate studies at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC earning the terminal degree in her field, a Master of Music, Jazz Performance.

Born in 1975 (Havana) into a musical family, Roberto Fonseca – despite having been described in many different ways (“the most promising and important talent in Cuban music”, “A true revelation who stands out among pianists of his generation”) – remains faithful to the wish he has had since the beginning of his career: I want my music to reach people who don’t know me, and I dream of one day becoming a point of reference for my audience…”
